Mirra Skin and Aesthetic Clinic is thrilled to announce that its founder, Natasha Mirra, has won the gold medal in the Clear Category at the first-ever Skinlympics, a brand-new industry event recognising and rewarding Australia’s best Skin Therapists.
“It feels so surreal to take home gold in an event like this where so many talented therapists have changed so many clients’ lives! It’s an amazing feeling to be recognised for the hard work that’s gone into developing custom treatment plans for clients to help them achieve their skin goals,” said Natasha.
A Journey Of Transformation And Hope
Natasha's path to victory began with a client whose life had been impacted by severe acne. Mainstream medication and dermatological treatment had offered no lasting relief, leaving behind deep scars and hyperpigmentation. Driven by a commitment to healing and transformation, Natasha crafted a bespoke treatment plan that adapted to her client's evolving skin needs.
This comprehensive approach included chemical peels, extractions with LED light therapy, various forms of skin needling, and subcision. Beyond these treatments, Natasha emphasised the importance of a personalised skincare routine and gut health, integrating the right vitamins into her client's diet and identifying and eliminating triggers.
"Although treating his acne was a long process, the results speak for themselves. We achieved an amazing result in the end,” she adds.
The transformation experienced by Natasha's client was more than skin-deep. Initially resigned to living with his acne, he found renewed confidence as his skin cleared. "The confidence that grew as the treatments went on was quite obvious and really made what we do worth it," Natasha reflected. This newfound confidence empowered her client to pursue his passion, securing a dream job working with animals.
Standing Out Through Genuine Care
Natasha’s personal skin journey is the soul behind Mirra Skin and Aesthetic Clinic’s treatment approach, knowing first-hand that skin healing transcends the products we apply.
"Suffering from acne myself from my late teens and discovering that mainstream medicine could not assist gave me the force to move from beauty into dermal," she explained.
“At Mirra Skin and Aesthetic Clinic, our focus is on holistic health and genuine care. We look beyond the surface, considering gut health, diet, lifestyle, and topical skincare. Every client wants to be heard, and we ensure they feel this during every appointment," Natasha emphasised, highlighting her deep connection with each client.
Natasha's advice to fellow therapists is a testament to her philosophy of care: "Really listen to the client's concerns and dive deep into their lifestyle, diet, and skin history. Treating the body from the inside is most important for achieving long-term results."
Reflecting on her win, Natasha expressed profound gratitude for her support system and dedicated staff. "I’m very grateful for my home support system and amazing staff who have so much faith in the protocols that I’ve developed and the clients who have stuck by our side through many lockdowns." Her heartfelt thanks extend to the clients who have remained committed throughout their skin journeys.
Natasha’s victory at The Skinlympics is a testament to her skill, dedication, and the genuine care she provides to each client. Her success story is an inspiring reminder of the transformative power of compassionate care, illuminating a bright future for Mirra Skin and Aesthetic Clinic.
