Let Them Age

Celebrities in 2024 can’t win. In a recent image shot by British vogue, the online commentary that came alongside the campaign was one of two sides of the pendulum - SJP is looking great, or not so for her age.

It’s almost like we have that 90’s Sex and The City series version of SJP so vividly seared into our minds, that when seeing an aged version our brains don’t computer, ‘but she’s aged?!’ the comments read.

SJP on the other hand, is well aware of the commentary yes, but also the ageing process! “I hold no opinion or judgements. I don’t do Botox because I need my eyebrows to function as an actor.”

On professional treatments; “I talk about the things I do, which is Sofwave. It’s great, but it hurts. I used to do glycolic peels at the dermatologist, too. And sometimes, in the rare emergencies when I have a zit, my dermatologist will give me a cortisone shot, which is cheaper than removing it in post-production. I think people are more comfortable with listing the work they’ve had done now because it’s a choice.”

“In terms of skincare, I keep my face wet and use either the RoC Hydrate and Plump Moisturiser or the Max Hydration Moisturiser.”
